and we got to enjoy it at the football. it was so hot it felt almost like the world cup - it probably helped that there was an australian on the pitch. And we had just about the best seats in the house. we were the fourth row from the side line, almost at halfway, across the aisle from the away side of the dugout. The spurs players sit next to the tunnel so they get a bit of protection from being hassled all the time from autographs, whereas there is no more than an aisle between the away team subs and the home which would be great for heckling. Kath and I were quite star struck, and spent the whole time taking photos and being jealous that small kids can get away with asking autographs.
We then went an treated our dehydration the best way possible: at the pub. Vanessa met us in town, at her new stomping ground of carnaby st/soho. we went to our favourite restaurant where russian spies are poisoned, Itsu sushi, and beat our previous record for sushi meals. in our defence, we haven't had sushi since we got back from australia, and may have had some cocktails.
