Tintern Abbey

We had a much quieter day on Sunday to give Gwen more opportunities to sleep. We ended up spending the afternoon in Gwent at Tintern Abbey, with Adam and Gwen lying in the shade of the church reading, snoozing and playing while I adventured. At one point a local church congregation held a service in the ruins, which was nice when they were singing but a bit eerie when they were chanting.

It was a lovely weekend but i especially loved the forest and the views. Over the last two months I have spent a lot of time outside, which has been lovely, but being in the cool stillness of the forests was wonderful, and being able to look out across the fields from the house we were staying in, watching the summer rain sweep across the fields, watching the sheep graze and the last rays of light leave the fields was beautiful.
