Alexander Litvinenko

So I don't get onto the blog to say things often, but I couldn't let this go by.

Alexander Litvinenko, former Russian spy and disident has been in the news as he was poisoned with polonium-210, a radioactive substance. Sounds pretty serious? Well it did kill him.

Anyway, Kat and I were interested to see that he was probably poisoned in a Sushi restaraunt in London called itsu (where traces of polonium have since been found) on November 1. We ate there a while ago, but back in August, so interesting but no problem for us.

Then 3 BA planes were grounded yesterday, and 2 found to have traces of radiation. Ofcourse, one of them is the plane we took to Barcelona a couple of weekends ago, so that puts us into the list of passangers that might of been exposed. I'm not exactly running off to get tested, as the risks are very minimal. In fact, our lives in the lab would no doubt pose more risk to us than this. But hey, sometimes this is as exciting as life gets.

Sounds like you guys are in a low risk group ... but more importantly, have the authorities looked at this pattern? After you go somewhere, disaster strikes! I'm just waiting to see what happens in Tibet next. Then I'll definitely be suspicious!

ahhh, tibet was me, but not adam. so it might be safe.
curiously the new arsenal stadium was also investigated because someone linked to the case went to see that wonderful game against CSKA Moscow where the arse could not score no matter how many open goals or they beat the keeper. but as adam and i would never go there, it wasn't contaminated.
