No pulling out now.

No, this post isn't about failed contraceptive techniques. Instead, we can report with some excitement (feel these nipples) that yesterday we exchanged contracts on our new house in didcot, meaning that we are all legally tied into the purchase now. We get the keys, pay the money, and move in on the 11th of October. That's only 2 and a half weeks away.

Ah, the new house. I have started driving through fog on the way to work in the morning, so I am very keen to get closer to work, and public transport, before things get any worse. There will be so much space. Why did we get a house with 3 bedrooms plus a study/4th bedroom. Because we are crazy-that's why. But it does leave plenty of space for visitors, and we will probably rent a room out too. Next stop-IKEA (again).

Word to the bricks.

It is the first day of Autumn today. It's been getting colder for a few weeks but today is the first day I've seen serious fog, not quite pea-soup-can't-see-your-hand-in-front-of-your-face-fog yet, but tops-of-the-trees-obscured-fog. It is still thick at midday. Oh wait, I've just spotted the first hint of blue...

The weather in Germany is behaving rather strangely. It's heard that it's the first day of Autumn and has decided to give a brilliant sunny day with 24 degrees... very confusing! But can't say that it's a problem or anything :-) Düsseldorf is otherwise known as Drizzledorf, so I don't expect this weather to last more than about 5 minutes (i.e. it will disappear just before our visitors from Australia arrive and they will think that I was lying about the good weather!)

And congrats on the officialness of your purchase! Have fun at Ikea!
