We took Gwen to her first Olympics - Japan v Honduras football at Coventry. Gwen was great, eating her banana and clapping whenever the crowd did. But after the banana was finished, all of 5 minutes later, she wanted to run, preferably down the stadium steps. We probably managed to watch half the match together, and then took it in turns to take Gwen down to where it was safe for her to run. She had fun making friends with the other toddlers who were also being let loose on the concourse. And of course she loved the Japanese fans who were all dressed up in their crazy sumo/samurai costumes, and despite the extensive list of prohibited items at these events, they had drums and megaphones and made lots of noise!
The game was decent but a nil all draw.
