Gwen & Mum's totally amazing London adventure

This weekend Gwen & I went to London for the weekend. We started with a train to Paddington station, then a walk through Hyde Park, including  about 5 or 6 laps around the Princess Diana memorial fountain/death trap (water + granite with sharp edges + slime + kids running and splashing), a boat trip in the solar shuttle, afternoon tea and, as she had walked at least 4 kms by now, a quick nap for Gwen on my lap in a noisy cafe.

A few more kms and we were at our hotel in Kensington. (Over 6 kms in total, which Gwen did walk/run probably all but the last km of)

Sunday was a quick trip to the butterfly section of the Natural History Museum (30 mins queues to get into the main event so we skipped it), and onto the theatre for  the Tiger who came to Tea where Gwen hid behind the seat until the show started but was fine after that.

Now we are home and exhausted, but happy – Gwen disappeared for a few minutes after we got home and once the eerie silence got to me I found her having just painted her nails with Lucy's nail polish, without making any mess anywhere but on her hands.
