Some photos from Africa

I am home safely, and reasonably on time - there was a moment when they told us that London was fog-bound when I was envisaging being delayed a day, but we were only delayed an hour in the end. Here are some photos from the trip....

Me and the many white 4WDs that we got around in.

Government built housing

Transkei villages

Going off road

A flocculation tank (one for the engineers). This treatment plant was a long way down a dirt road, and then further down a dirt track.

Some boys undergoing their initiation in village at which we were sampling water.

Vuyeka and Melissa sampling drinking water from a standpipe.

Some curious kids that gathered when we were sampling.

Why were we there? We are the project team for this project.
