Somewhat unusually, Adam and I have been busy enjoying the summer. This is mostly unusual because there hasn't been too much to enjoy the last two summers. But (*knock on wood*) so far this summer has been quite lovely. We have already had a level 3 heatwave! It was about 28 - 30 degrees for a few days in a row. All us aussies were quite embarrassed because we couldn't cope with the heat and yet we knew that it wasn't really a heat wave, just nice weather.
So we have been busy barbequing, playing tennis and watching tennis, eating icecream and strawberries all the other delicious summer fruit, and generally basking in the long, warm days. We've watched a new type of flower spring forth in the garden every week, in a delightful cacophony of colour. I don’t think there are any two plants the same in the whole garden, which probably goes against the rules of english gardens, but it is especially amazing for us since our last garden started as gravel.
Apart from work and wedding planning (and planning future home improvements, as always) that is pretty much it. We are getting very excited about seeing our families and everyone again! I’ve been told that I am not allowed to start packing until the day before, so I have started my packing in secret in my study (shh, don’t tell Adam).
