Well I'm almost there, more than half way! I'm currently in Bahrain airport. While the flight has been comfortable so far, there has been little to specifically recommend about Gulf Air. The food was ok, individual screens but uniform start times. However, the woman I was sitting next to & I got an amazing amount of sleep over the 18 hours. At least one of us had to be woken up for every meal, and were asleep before our trays were cleared sometimes. I slept through the take off from Singapore. Neither of us even bothered to get off the plane in Singapore we were so comfortable (it was only a 40 minute stop). In 18 hours I watched two movies and read half a book. I got to have a good cry watching Finding Neverland, which I think my neighbour noticed - she watched it in the following timeslot and also had a good cry. I also saw I am David, but it was interrupted by refuelling etc. so it was good but not especially moving.
So here I am, refreshed from a shower and a spot of duty free shopping, with only two hours to go until reboarding to grab a cuppa tea, read my book and check out the food (it is actually a very small airport so I have already done about 3 laps in the last two hours).
And then London here I come!!
