Homer has nothing on me

The weekend is about to kick off for me, although I guess the rest of you are probably in bed by now or well drunk. Judging from the phone call I got from a couple of people informing me that "we're drunk" and the Waratahs had won, the later seems to be the theme for some.

I don't have heaps planned for the weekend. Our lab and the one next door were going to hit the town tonight, but a lack of enthusiasm (I wonder if 3 days of snow have anything to do with that) has seen that moved to next Friday. That's cool, since next Friday is my birthday and I would much prefer to be heading out than sitting in the corner of my bedroom crying.

I had a doctors appointment this morning. I went to register with my local GPs office (you have to do that over here rather than just walking into one when you are sick) last week, and they make you come in for a health test with the nurse. From the look on her face, I think I failed. My second clue came when she went and arranged for me to see the doctor before I left, as well as booking me in for 3 more visits in the next 10 days. Why did this occur? Something to do with my blood pressure being through the roof, with an assist to the scales. Oh well, nothing I didn't really expect, and I did know that a diet was on the cards. I am only glad that my mother still hasn't worked out how to use the internet and read this thing.

Word.
